Shipping instructions: Please drain the carburetor well prior to shipment and let it air out, then wrap the carburetor in heavy paper or bubble wrap, protecting the bottom and sides especially well. Please do not use air pillows, shredded paper or packing peanuts in the box. Line the bottom of the box with several layers of heavy paper or use cardboard or Styrofoam, making sure the throttle shaft bracket does not make contact with the box. Then place your wrapped carburetor on top of it. Also, make sure you fill the gaps once you place the carb in the box, so there is no shifting in transit. A carburetor has many sharp, blunt edges and a cardboard box is no match….so your objective is to protect the box from the carb, as we want it to arrive safely and undamaged. If you are shipping more than one carb, separate them with a piece of sturdy cardboard or box them individually within a larger box. Lastly, be sure to include all your contact information (return address, email address, telephone numbers) inside the box on a 9 x 11 piece of paper. UPS and FedEx is our recommended shipping method; tracking is included, $99 worth of insurance is included and declaring the value for more insurance is very reasonable. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes are NOT recommended for 4 barrel carburetors. Please contact us prior to sending your carburetor for more specific information about costs and production lead times.
